In Memory

Joseph Werner

Joseph Patrick WERNER

Age 62 of West St. Paul We say a sorrowful goodbye to our Joe who passed away on January 11, 2019 after a courageous battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor. He was a man of intense loyalty, high humility, sharp wit, and endless humor. Joe was a salesman extraordinaire, friend to many, and above all, a loving father and husband. He loved the world of food, the cabin woods, the smell of the chainsaw and tractor diesel, driving his Mercury Grand Marquis, and being with his grandchildren. He made friends everywhere he went and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Werner, and is survived by his wife Nancy, sons John (Rachel) and Tom (Rachel), brother John, sister Mary Beth (Eric), grandchildren Jack, Eleanor, Emerson and James, and nephew Charlie. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 16th at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church (1154 Seminole Ave, West St. Paul, MN). Visitation will precede the service from 10 – 11 a.m. A celebration of life and buffet will follow from 4 – 9 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall (1114 American Boulevard W, Bloomington, MN). In lieu of flowers, Joe would want you to donate to a cause close to your heart.

Joe, you are missed.  You were the first one of us in high school to have a brand new car.  I even remember that it was a blue Datsun!  You were one of the hardest working people I have ever known and such a good family man.  Rest in peace, Pat Perron Link
